That was fast!

I filed Chapter 7 last Monday. Saturday I got the papers in the mail with my 341 date, along with a letter from Chase stating that my credit card had been closed. Funny- I didn't bankrupt on Chase; I have long since paid off those cards, except for a small purchase I made 2 weeks ago which I was planning to pay for ($40).

I tried to log in to pay, but I'm already locked out of all my accounts! Every credit card I had (the ones I filed against and the ones I didn't) has terminated my internet access and Chase even disconnected a phone call this weekend and told me to call back on Monday during business hours. Funny, before bankruptcy I thought they had 24 hour customer service. Guess you don't get that after bankruptcy.

I'm just amazed at how fast I was cut off from internet access to the credit card page where I used to pay and see my balance. I guess they're a little mad at me right now, lol.... Sure hope I don't need any statements printed out! I shouldn't, barring something odd.....

Same thing has happened to most all of us on this forum.

Chase closed both of my online cc's pretty quickly - first they showed up as Info not available and then disappeared altogether - same thing with BoA- which is good. I still have a checking account with them so I can still get into my online accounts. So far, my money with them is safe and sound although I will be moving it soon.
