I believe they just look to see what your balances were on the day you filed.
You know to bring your drivers license and social security card(?).

Don't forget your Social Security card (not a copy) and drivers license.

        Discharged Jan 5, 2009! Closed Jan 18, 2009

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..

Little more than 5 minutes. She asked all the standard questions everyone was asked...about if you filled out the paperwork, if you understood it, etc. The only other thing I was asked was why I was pulling all of my paycheck out of my account - told her attorney advised. She told the lady who as there on behalf of the attorney to tell him to stop telling his clients that.

            Hello try not to worry.

            You absolutely need:

            1. State/Federal Photo ID (This can be passport, military id, driver's license, id card....must be current)
            2. Social Security Card
            3. Anything else the lawyer/trustee has specifically told you to bring.

Some rules to make the day easier on you.

            1. Do not bring any electronics (including cell phones). (If you bring them the guards will take them, but you do get them back after your finished and leaving the courthouse)
            2. Be absolutely on time, in fact be 30 min early it'll give you some peace of mind after watching a few cases.
            3. Do not bring children. (Honestly depending on district these rooms are small and overflowed with people children will not be comfortable or quiet for the length of time it takes unless your called first in your time slot)
            4. Dress nicely as you might dress on a casual dinner engagement. (Doesn't have to be sunday best but don't go in looking like a hobo either).
            5. Do not wear any jewelry, plain wedding band and plain watch are okay but don't wear anything else.

Thanks JRscott for the information. This does help.
I can't wait for this to be over. It seems like I have had a severe case of PMS for the past 2 weeks worrying about this 341. I can't wait for it to be over and I will let all of you know what happens on Wednesday. Mine is at 10:30. I'm having to use a vacation day at work and fortunately nobody has asked me why I am taking the day off. Which is none of their business anyway.

Keep in mind even if your group is suppose to start at 10: 30 doesn't mean it will, depending on the day the court can be running behind 30 min or so. Just make sure you are there for role call at 10: 30, don't be late (I suggest being early to watch the other cases )

That's for sure! Ours was an hour behind so I sat there for an hour and a half.

If the questions is a Yes or No question. Answer the questions with a Yes or No. Don't elaborate. This may sound stupid.. But.. wait for the trustee to finish the question before answering. :o)

I agree, I have read to shorten your answers as much as possible and answer only yes or no if you can

I hope they are all Yes or No type questions but based on the first three letters of inquiry, there are going to be a lot of Why type questions that will need a short answer. I tend to get all caught up in things and I have been practicing keeping my answers short. My girlfriend says I've mastered it with her

Yep I didn't include that but yes answer Yes or No to all possible questions. When you must answer other than Yes or No, answer as concisely and shortly as possible, do not elaborate or give extra information not asked.

Well today's our day. I actually was able to sleep OK. I thought I would toss and turn all night but I didn't. I gathered boxes of documents and sorted more things than I care to think about but I feel prepared. Then this morning I reviewed it all again.

Surprise my cellphone was turned off overnight. Shocking since I keep it paid up.

                                341 over!!!!!!

I just got back from ay 341. I think it took about 30 seconds. He thumbed through my paperwork like he was disinterested and asked the standard questions. I got a $5100 federal tax refund and he never mentioned it, I don't even think he noticed. I guess I'm part of the 60 day club now!!!
When we walked out of the room I asked my attorney if I was allowed to scream and of couse he just laughed but I really wasn't joking!
