How will the Trustee view this? As unnecessary? I've had my dog health plan for 10 years and now that shes 11 she will need it more and more. Just wonderful if it would be frowned upon.
Thanks
We are in the same boat as our Shih Tzu is on two prescriptions and prescription dog food. It's expensive! Last time I met with Attorney I asked him if we could claim about $75 a mth. He said not that much, but didn't say How Much.
Will meet with him in July as we are filing 9/30/09. I read where one poster claimed $30 a mth & Trustee didn't question it. I'm guessing it depends on the State District.
Wondering if its ok to just not list it? I can't cancel it...if something happens to her I couldn't afford treatment and shes all I have...she even goes to work with me everyday..
My veterinary expenses were not questioned. If you've carried this insurance for years, I doubt it will be questioned. If you had just recently acquired the insurance plan it would be more likely to be scrutinized. (My two cents from interaction with the UST.)
i don't think you'd have a problem with $62 a month. We have two boston terriers; and one has had some pretty bad health problems (last november he required a $1500 surgery) and since then we've had to keep him on special food prescribed by our vet. No way around it. We spend about $75 a month. I'm planning on claiming it- if there's a question i will just bring in something from the vet..
