    The Benevolent Universe

As I have posted, I have been worried that recent increases in my income might disqualify me for Ch 7. I meet with my lawyer on Thursday and imagine I will be filing this month.

My daughter called me this morning to tell me that she was just laid off from her job and she needs to move back home while she looks for something else. My household size has just increased by one. This will be a big help.

Amazing how that worked out . . .

You need all the expenses you can right now...so that's great! Well, not for your daughter :/ Is there any reason you are in a rush to file this month? I would have you daughter move back in and file in one or two months, to show the trustee that you are supporting her...

Yes, unfortunately, there's a rush. I'm self-employed and business, which has been slow as mud for the past 2 years, is really picking up, so I need to file while I still can. And, even though I couldn't list the support I've been giving my daughter on any of my schedules, I have been consistently contributing to her support. She graduated from college last year and accepted a job that paid so poorly so couldn't make it on her own. I have been helping her out in whatever ways I could. Now, at least, I can claim some of those expenses!
