Well I looked in Pacer today and our chapter 7 was both discharged and case closed today. No mention of our tax refund being taken at all. Woohoo. I guess in a couple of weeks I'll check on the refund's status on the IRS website...but it does not look like there are any further issues.

We converted to chapter 7 on Jan 14th, 2009 and had our 341 on March 3rd. Were flagged for Presumption of Abuse immediately but were declared no asset by panel trustee and had the Presumption dismissed based on our proof of expenses. So the discharge and closing of the case both occurring on the same day nearly 60 days from the date of our 341 meeting has really astonded me. I think I heard February 09' had the highest number of filings on record in Indiana.... I am indeed grateful.
To answer Okie's question.... no I am in Indiana, but graduated from Moore High School near Norman in 1978. Toby Keith went to high school at the same time there but I didn't know him.... I am a huge Sooner fan and always have been. I love Oklahoma and still miss it..... It is great to get to a Sooner football game. I manage about one every couple of years.....Comment
