I need to file chapter 7.There is income from work and also unemployment.should this be counted together for the 6 months on means test. Also how is both of these listed on schedule I.although I believe at the time of filing I will still be on unemployment. To be clearer.I was on unemployment.went back to work and was laid off again all in a six month period.so its a bit confusing on how to do these forms.Really could use the help on this one!!! Thanks!

What matters is if your local court judge and trustees interpret unemployment as Social Security income. If they do consider it SS income, then your unemployment does *not* have to be counted as income.
If you are planning to file pro se (without a lawyer), then you won't know the answer to this question. Are you planning to file with a bk lawyer?I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Schedule i.the big question???
NO,Im not filing with an attorney this time.Money is just to tight to do so.I think the attorneys forget the reason we are there is because we are already broke. The difference between the income is only 5,000.00And like 4,500.00 in unemployment. So Iam thinking it would not hurt to use both of these as the total for the means test as well as on schedule I.I dont see any other way it would work out.If you just went by income. That wouldnt seem realistic to live off of only that......
