Easy means test?

I really liked Nolo's but you have to know what you're doing. I think the hardest part figuring out taxes and payroll deductions. John's test was harder for me, go figure.

I am glad you said that because I have tried both and can't figure it out. I was begining to think I was slower than I thought. I haven't heard many others having trouble with either.

Does the line for pension and retirement income include social security received?

Does the line for pension and retirement income include social security received?

I'm pretty certain that income from social security is exempted and not included in the means test.

From the means test calculator (Nolo)...

"Do not include any benefits received under the Social Security Act (or payments received as a victim of a war crime, crime against humanity, or as a victim of international or domestic terrorism."
