Do bank statements need to be detailed???

    hi everyone,
i have started to print out my last 6 months of bank statements but was wondering am I supposed to just print out the statement that shows the beginning/ending balance for each month or the actual statement that shows each purchase/withdrawal credit etc? Thank you!

The entire statement showing all the transactions. Remember to save as far back as you can just in case its needed later.

I believe they will want everything. Our attorney even needed copies of our checkbook register for the last month also.

Thank you both. Do you happen to know if the trustee or whoever would have issues with random deposits to my account? I have been selling my textbooks from this summer on ebay and amazon and it shows random deposits from 10-70.00 for my books. Do i need to show proof what the deposits are from? All it says on my statements are "Paypal" deposit and the amount. Also, I have been using my debit card for fast food purchases quite a bit lately because I am always on the go in between classes. Is this going to be an issue. I know I am not eating lavishly, but I have been using it about 3-4 a week for about 3 weeks. I don't know if it is better to just withdraw the cash and pay for my food that way. Thanks so much!

The amounts appear to be very small - so it may not warrent the attention of the Trustee at all. But if they ask, just let them know about the books and deposits. As to the fast food - these are debit purchases that the Trustee see's all the time! LOL

I was audited, and they only wanted an explanation for any deposit over $500, and I also had many small deposits for different reasons. So, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about.

Great. Thank you Joe. May I ask what caused you to be audited?

what does it mean to be audited? did this happen in BK or were you audited by irs? I am confused
                  waiting to file in july-august,
waiting for Chase to begin foreclosure,
waiting for cc's to begin lawsuits,
                  just waiting (& "afraid")...

My understanding is that when you are audited, that is when the US Trustee gets involved due to red flags they see in your case - jessegirl went thru this, do a lookup on her threads.

I am terrified that the US Trustee is going to show up at my 341 on Thursday since I was a good 15K over the median with HIGH credit card debt, but I still passed the means test. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers, I'll let everyone know how it goes!!!
