    Dealing with an inheritance payout.

I am planning on filing chapter 7 in the coming months.
I recently found out that I will soon be getting a 20K payout from an intervivos trust.

My question is, what will the bk trustee want as far as documentation? Will he contact the private trust trustee? The reason I ask is that the private trustee is a relative that I really don't get along with and if the bk trustee contacts him I will never hear the end of it.

Anyone out there have any experiences along these lines?

    Thanks.

When you retain your attorney, bring all this up to the attorney in full and thoroughly discuss the situation. You will probably need a copy of the trust and there should be no problem in just getting that from that person and I would make a copy of the check when you receive it.

Thanks Flame, I appreciate your input. Hopefully a copy of the trust and check will suffice.
