    Discharged and feeling crappy.

This trustee has me in hell.
Discharged early last week. Friday my atty said "oh yeah, she didn't see our amendment to your exemptions, so I emailed another copy".

WEEKS ago, the atty said he couldn't exempt around 770 bucks. I KNOW she's going to hammer me for cash, I'm just sitting here waiting for the axe to drop.

Will she call? will I get a letter? I don't know. The atty won't tell me if or how the Trustee will (or will not) contact me. I'm in the bankruptcy version of Groundhog Day.

    yay. I'm discharged. whooopie.

You are discharged. I would not consider 770. an axe dropping.

Chances are she is not coming after you for 700 bucks if she hasn't already. Was it an asset case?

Wait it out and be happy.

I'm not really following you here...$770 couldn't be exempt so technically its not yours. Obviously your attorneys a tool and should of tried to negotiate. But when looking at the big picture, its $770 bucks that I'd glad give up to be free of all my debt.

well, I guess the problem is wondering where the 770 will come from.
I have a few projects I'd like to begin, but can't because my cash and/or assets that I might sell are all stuck waiting for her to decide my fate.

My other fear is that she might ADD hundreds more to that figure, thinking it's just low enough I won't pay my atty to fight it.

You are discharged! You don't have to wait to begin your projects - get started on something now. You don't have to wait to sell assets. Go ahead and work on something to get your energy back up.

The Trustee might have very well take her time to get out a letter for that $770 which gives you time to get it together. If she never sends the letter then you have an extra $770 in your account when you receive the 'closed' notice from Pacer.

It's important to move on and not get stuck in the waiting mode

You are DISCHARGED. It should all be over. I was an asset case and mine is still open even though I paid $5400 in 12 payments and $5000 for preferential payments to family. What's $770 for your freedom? How much debt do you not have now.

                you will be happy

I will trade you my case, my trustee, and my US TT for your discharge and 3 disallowed exemptions to be named later. I'll also throw in my Baseball cards and a draft pick in the fantasy foorball pool.

Read my posts and see why you should be ELATED to be discharged.

As has been written, be happy.
Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.
