hi lostand,
I just wanted to share my experience. I work for the financial industry and I had to disclose my previous bk when I started. It didn't stop me from getting the job, but I do believe they did want it discharged. I showed them those papers and everything was fine! I hope this helps a little

To the OP - do a search on this forum for employment and bankrupty (job interviews, hiring, etc.). Recently, there has been much discussion on here about that. For certain jobs/positions yes having BK on your credit reports can be a deterrant to getting hired. It all depends on the company, the situation and other factors. The best thing to do when looking for a job and having an interview lined up is to research that company/entity thoroughly as much as possible as to their organization and hiring practices. A company does not have to hire you if they don't want to with that BK on your records; however, they cannot fire you while you are working for them for just filing bankruptcy._________________________________________
