Question about asking for continuance of 341

I'm new here & my 341 meeting for chap 7 is tomorrow. I worked w/
a paralegal for initial filing but do not have an atty. I feel that I need a
few more weeks to prepare for my 341 & have the direct# for the person
handling my initial filing in the court..

I would so appreciate advise on how to get this continued. My husband
is considering BK7 also & I just need a few more weeks to prepare, we're in Florida, thanks

Since your 341 is tomorrow, unless you have a true family or personal emergency, asking for a reschedule at this time because you don't feel prepared is very likely going to be denied. Plus it puts you on the trustee's radar....not a place to be if you can avoid it.

This is the one meeting you absolutely must attend in person. It's probably been scheduled for weeks. What took you so long to figure out you don't know what you need to know to go in there and answer your trustee's questions?
