Hi all! So glad to be here!
I am a stay-at-home mom with all the unsecured cc debt in my name. I will be filing without my husband sometime later this year. I am very much considering filing pro se, but will also consult with a couple of attorneys to see what they have to say.
My question is this:
I only get a $1000 personal property exemption in here in FL. So how would you divide up personal property between you and a spouse who is not filing? Obviously, I have things that are only "mine", but what about other things like our furniture. Would you take the garage sale value and divide in half? I will not be able to use the FL wild card exemption because we own our house jointly and will be reaffirming.
