I feel the same way about my couch too. Esp. when I had to fill out the estimated value for my furniture. I mean, who the hell would want my couch - I couldn't sell it for anything right now. I would have to freecycle it at this point. The couch is around 10 years old. It is an IKEA couch (and we all know how cheap those are) and the slip covers are ripped by my cats. I have blanket covering the rips. Same with my IKEA armchair. Old, fur bound and why would anyone want it? (except me!)

I even told my lawyer - my stuff isn't really worth anything. But he had me put a higher value than I thought all of it was worth - I didn't list everything little dinky thing though.

Everything is over 4 years old and I have 3 cats with claws so you can imagine. Not that my stuff is hideous or anything and it is fine for me right now but someone could find much better deals elsewhere.

Funny thing is that I tried to sell some of my "nicer" but used stuff on craigslist and ebay last year several times and no one was interested - doesn't that tell you something? In todays economy, no one is buying anything. Even brand new .99 cent designer shoes on Ebay.

I haven't done my 341 yet and I am new to the forum but.... Are they seriously gonna want my old ripped up furniture? Or my bed frame? I thought we didn't have to worry about that stuff. All of my stuff is pretty old and like cheapie IKEA stuff. I mean, I have to have a bed to sleep on right?
