Looking into filing Chapter 7
Does anyone know if I can include in chapter 7 bankruptcy filing, a property settlement of $40,000 that a family court judge awarded my ex spouse? I was suppose to start making monthly payments, but can't afford it.

If this is part of a divorce settlement, it is only dischargeable if the other party agrees.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
