    Creditor Matrix Questions

I got a collections call from a creditor that was supposed to be included in my b/k.

I checked Pacer and they are listed in my creditors section, but not in my Creditor Mailing Matrix.

Im assuming this is a problem. And would this be my atty fault?

How do you get a creditor on there but not in the address matrix, seems like they just forgot to carry the address over.

    Thanks

First, yes, they must be on the Creditor Matrix in order to be notified. However, most lqawyers use a software package called Best Case. With Best Case there is a flag for each creditor, as to whether you want to include that creditor on the mailing matrix.

Sounds like someone asked the program to not include the creditor. I don't know why they'd do this.

Contact your lawyer and inform them of the missing creditor(s) on the matrix. Make sure your attorney is going to pay the $26 fee to update the Matrix and any other Schedules that may be affected.

      Thanks!

The atty was trying to say this was my fault, and would have to pay fees
      ($100) but Pacer shows different.

        Be firm and strong.

First have the lawyer agree that you don't build the creditor matrix. Then, ask him how the Creditor shows up in your Schedules, but not on the Creditor Matrix.

What? That people will say that the computer messed up... when they in fact told the computer to do it?

And watch out for the new twist in matrixs...

accounts that were good, paid, and closed way prior to the BK showing up on the matrix, and subsequently reporting on your credit reports as 0IIB

I called and he said it was probably a 'computer error' and that they didnt need to file anything with the courts, he was just going to send a copy of our filing that has their name in it to the collection agency and the original biller and that will solve the problem.

                  I hope he's right

This is true. Once they receive notification, they have been notified. Did your lawyer charge you the $100?
