Well I'd just like to say for those small chances of having a longer meeting, don't worry I already took one of those long meeting chances away

1st three go up, they are all done together inside of 10 minutes. DW and I get up there, and the dw grandmother shows up (sigh) She managed to get some crackpot lawyer to mail the US trustee that I have a self-employed job computer building business that I incorporated. Her 'evidence' is the laptop I bought for her over 2 years ago and setup for her at no cost and the checks I sent her to repay her loan were a "company" check. The concept of a banks bill-pay service checks seemed to be lost on her

As you can see from my sig the regular trustee ignored her as he has made his report of no asset. I'm confident he got back with the US trustee and told him the same regarding my supposed company. One would think the trustee if he really thought I had an incorporated business would be looking for business assets and not asking to be dismissed the day after the 341.

But ya everyone else doing the 341 that day just flew though it all. Trustee was like a freaking auctioneer had his little checklist and he just rattled off questions quickfire.

So are ya saying your Gma-in-law tried to sell you down the river at your 341?

Hope it goes better from now on for you.

Yea I saw them coming from across the parking lot and I knew it was going to be a fun day. Had her whole little entourage too. Fortunately the trustee did not allow anyone but the grandmother to come forward and talk, which is good as it is mostly her son, my uncle in law, that is really driving this issue to a head. I could hear his head steaming in the back of the room when the trustee told him to leave the table.

O well so far so good, 57 days to go

A couple of things of interest at my 341 - one of the people who when before me WITH AN ATTORNEY! had as well as other assets, two vehicles which were paid for.

As many of you know, here in Florida the vehicle exemption is $1,000.00!!!

As they went through it, the Trustee asked, "Why didn't you list any examptions?"

His attorneys answer? "OH, I forgot that!"

And as we were sitting and waiting for the next group to start - all before had been completed - two attorneys and the Trustee were talking about the "new" BK rules.

One of the attorneys stated that the reason it was changed was because of all the "supposed" fraud that was taking place in the BK process. A study released is showing less than 1% of filings are fraud!!!

You know which party you can thank for the new rules, right? - jb
