When will you file? You cannot use your credit cards for 90 days PRIOR to filing otherwise it could be looked at as fraud. I don't think it would matter if the amount was refunded or not, but talk to your atty as I am not sure.

Why is it looked like as fraud? For me personally, I am making payments to my credit cards to sort of 'float' money until I get paid. My charges are not large amounts at all.

What do you mean by the highlighted text?
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
Meaning let's say the minimum payment on my credit card is $149.00 ... I pay the minimum payment so it does not affect my account, then immediately use the card to pay for groceries, gasoline, etc.
I think what he means by floating $$$ is that he charges certain things until he gets paid but is still paying on the CC's. He's not buying luxury items or splurging.
I am current on all accounts. Out of the 11 Credit Cards I have, I used one last month. The others were last used in December. I know some people here have used their cards pretty close to filing. Can the Trustee dismiss my case even if the CC doesn't object. The amount is pretty small.

Never overcoming it is the problem. If you continue to float then the interest is just added to the principal. And this does not take into account "emergency." Before you know it, it's one big SNOW BALL....
If at all possible don't use your cards. If you are filing BK soon then stop paying the CC's and then you'll have money. If you must buy essentials then and have no alternative other than using the card then save your receipts to prove that they weren't used for luxury/non-essential items. If anything, they may file an objection and you'll end up being responsible for the charges within 90 days of filing BK. Best thing to do though is to just stop using and paying them.
Consult with an attorney to be sure though.

Thank you to both chad9162 and NoMoreRed for the advice. In my opinion, this is too big of an ordeal to go through without the assistance of an expert attorney. I think the biggest issue for me is letting go of the available credit I have now should something go wrong. It's like losing a security blanket.

Consultations are typically free (the first one) with most attorneys. Go see several and ask lots of questions. Then you can decide on a specific attorney or file on your own.

Do you mean you bought something and then took it back and it was credited to your CC account?
If you made a small purchase and then took it back so essentially there was no charge made on the card within the 90 days of filing, essentially you did not make your debt any larger with that CC co.
Plus, it would cost them more than 100.00 to file an AP in your case. They ( the CC) are not going to object to your discharge over 100.00.
