The nearest bank to me is 1473 miles, I think I would eat up all of my interest in gas in getting to the back to make a deposit!

I guess California is too broke for banks to offer interest to their customers.

They even cancelled my daughters Science Fair at school cuz the schools here are out of money.

I live in florida and I am Banking wth Community Bank of Pleasant Hill in MO.

A good option is to open an etrade savings account for free and you can transfer money in and out of any bank with etrade.

Also, try Connexus CU. They have many accounts not in their area.
