need statement from closed bank account

My lawyer just told me i need a statement from all accounts from my filing date. Problem is my banks suspended my accounts so I am unable to get those statements. I need to bring them to the creditors meeting on April 6th!!

How do I get them? What happens if I cannot get them?

I hate my lawyer for not taking care of this or telling me about it.

I had accounts that were closed too and I went to the bank and spoke to sutomer service they were able to print statements for accounts that were closed and I had no problem. I acutally waited for the statements. The bank should defiantely be able to print them out.

I am a govt employee and was with a credit union that has no branch offices. I guess I will call them to see if they can mail it to me in time. If not I do not know what to do. What will the trustees say?

Do you have credit unions in town that cooperate with your credit union?
Many belong to a network known as a shared branch - call your credit union and find out if there are any of those shared branches in your town.

I just went through a similar situation. I had a closed account for which we do not have a local branch. Customer service rep I spoke with said there is no way to request statements through the mail because they charge per each one and I can't guarantee payment through a closed account. She told me I must go to a branch and pay for them there. At that time I told her that statements are not available online since account is closed and there is no way I am flying to another state to go to the damn bank. She said "sorry there is nothing more I can do" RIDICULOUS!!!! I just asked to speak to supervisor and that took care of everything. I should have statements in the mail within 3-5 days.
