    tkharvey,
I feel for you! If I could feasibly keep my house I would try. I have three kids who are very comfortable here. At the same time I am sick and tired of putting off dental work, car repairs, and so on because we are so strapped. Am I taking proper care of my kids this way? I can't even afford a home repair at the moment if something should break! I think when I take the emotion out of it and make this a true business decision, then I am making the best financial move for my family! I am tired of living for my home and my fico score!

You are one smart cookie, Allmixedup!! Once we Americans wake up, learn to tune out the constant bombardment of "you NEED this!" marketing cr*p, and stop borrowing more than we can really afford, we'll all be a lot happier and much less stressed. We won't have as many things, but acquiring things should never become more important than the well-being of our loved ones and our community.
