Timeframe for sending tax return to Trustee

Question about a Tax refund:

We have a fairly good sized tax refund that we would be entitled to IF we didn't have a federal tax lien already which will take 90% of it. I haven't finished the filing yet because I wasn't sure if the refund would go directly to that lien or if the trustee would get it first??? Any help please?

ROFLOL! OhioFiler, IMHO you handled yourself very well. Fltoo and yourself are very knowledgeable and your posts have helped me along with other people who have gone through Bankruptcy.

I'm in the learning stages. It's just like my full mortgage payment might or might not be fully acceptable to the Trustee because it is over the IRS housing standard. There are other expenses that might be questionable also, but won't know until I complete a Full Means tests and sit down with my Attorney.
