I wasn't trying to be funny. I meant it.

I'm going to be homeless and lose everything I have. Suicide is looking good right now and getting this case dismissed would make me wanna do it.

You need help immediately. Please call a local mental health agency and talk with someone NOW. PLEASE!
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

NOT FREE and I don't have the money to pay. I had a doctor's appoint that I desperately needed to go to and had to skip because I couldn't afford to pay for the doctor appointment, let alone the $360 I need in medication.

Phone call to a mental health hotline is free. DO a Google search. There are TONS of places that accept payment on a sliding scale. You would be a free case.

If you need medical attention go to the ER.

            DebtMonster:

Please seek help. I've been in your position where I wanted to kill myself after the car wreck and I could no longer work.

With help I realized I had a Wonderful Husband, Son, DIL, 3 precious grandchildren, Brother, Twin Sister and My Father who would not understand and it would cause Guilt for them if I committed suicide.

Do me a favor PLEASE! Quit reading 'into' people's posts. They are just trying to help you. Make it a point, from now on, to keep receipts. No receipts are better than NONE! I'm having a hard time, even after 5 mths, getting my truck driving husband to get a receipt even if he just buys a Coke at a Truck Stop.

Your Life MEANS A LOT to other family members and people you associate with. Go get help and get on Medication. Trust Me..you will feel so much better. I know...I've been there, done that.

BTW, my husband is overweight, so I know how 'touchy' it can be sometimes. Just remember, although, we don't know you on this Forum...WE DO CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!

            Hugs,

            Luci

I know Florida has State Mental Health facilities. Go to the nearest one and they will talk to you!

              OMG here we go again.

Not only has this nut threatened suicide before, but he has threatened to get a gun and kill others because he said he is not going alone! TWICE! He even said he was looking at a gun in a pawn shop and was going back for it.

I contacted the police, but when they went to check on it, the mods had erased the post but continued to allow this guy to post!!!

People disagreeing with BK (not that I agree with them) have been banned immediately and yet this guy stays.

Please don't buy into this garbage. Next time he threatens someone, I am
              copying it.

Debtmonster, maybe you should take up smoking? It might help to relax you.

All of us have problems. I never had to turn to cigarettes for them. What I don't understand is why people smoke them. I never smoked them from the start. I took one puff on one when I was 12 and had the common sense to know it was disgusting and never did it again. I don't know why people don't seem to have this common sense. When you know something is bad, why do you keep messing with it? Not only do you mess with it, it's also MONEY WASTED!

How come people don't learn by other people's examples? I don't understand why you can see people dying from lung cancer and that doesn't make you quit.

If I saw other people who went through windshields in a car crash, I wouldn't need to wait until a car crash to find out. I'd war my seatbelts. I learn from other people's mistakes. I don't understand why people who smoke don't do the same thing.

We could go on and on about smoking, but I just don't have the energy right now. I actually feel like going back to bed this morning and taking a nap.

I've caught up with most all of my emails this morning. Now I can go back to sleep and wait for some more to come.

Normally I would say, it's your life and your lungs. Go kill yourself. That's good for you.

My problem is that I can't afford health insurance premiums since everyone doesn't use common sense. Now I am forced to suffer from it because of every one else's poor life decisions. So when everyone smokes, it hurts my ability to afford health insurance because all of you keep driving the prices up by doing self-induced problems that could have all been avoided in the first place. That's why I am so bad about people who smoke.
People smoke them because they are very addictive. I battled drug addiction 25 years ago. I had an easier time walking away from the drugs than I have trying to quit cigarettes.

Yes, those of us that smoke do see what happens to other smokers. However, the addiction, just like any other addiction is so powerful that all the matters is the next fix. It isn't a matter of common sense. BTW, the same could be said for those who are overweight. If a person eats more calories than he/she burns, he/she will gain weight. Common sense says so. Glass houses and whatnot....

True, food is not a carcinogen, but abuse it, and it will kill you just the same. And as ftloo already pointed out, obesity also drives up heath care costs. As a matter of fact health care costs for obesity now rivals that of smoking:

"Study: Obesity Health Costs Rival Those Of Smoking

Researchers Say Government Should Offer Incentives To Lose Weight

WASHINGTON -- Obesity is eating away at American lives and pocketbooks, according to a new government study.

With more than half of Americans now either overweight or obese, researchers from RTI International in North Carolina and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention studied a sample of nearly 10,000 adults to determine the health costs of the epidemic.

The study put the cost of treating the health problems of people who are overweight at $93 billion per year. The government picks up about half the tab through Medicare for the elderly and Medicaid for the poor.

Overall, spending attributed to excessive weight made up 9 percent of all medical spending in 1998.

The findings are published Wednesday on the Web site of the journal Health Affairs.

The researchers said the financial burden now rivals that of smoking. They said as a result, the government and health insurance companies should offer incentives to help people lose weight."

Here's another article that claims obesity costs may actually be more than smoking costs: http://www.redorbit.com/news/health/..._and_drinking/

Just to be clear, I've got nothing against those who are overweight. My mother battled with her weight all her life, so I am sympathetic. And I went through a time with my own weight issues. Having said that, I just thought you should know the facts before you start blaming me and my yellow-teethed brethren for not being able to afford health insurance. Is it possible that your inability to afford health insurance may have more to do with your own heath issues as opposed to those of us who smoke?

In a following post, you wrote, "....poor life decisions?" And being sedentary is a wise life decision? Was that not self-induced" as well?

                  In that same post:
Then we won't have to worry about addictions and crap like that.
So does that mean we should also outlaw food, booze, gambling, sex, the internet, and video games because many people fight those types of additions too.

Sorry about the rant folks, but the hypocrisy is staggering.

If I were to do smoking of any kind, it would be weed, which you can grow for free out in some field. I would only smoke if it had a purpose. Cigarettes don't do anything for you. It's a habit that should have never started. If not weed, then drink alcohol or something. At least you can get a buzz.

Fat people around you don't bother you. Cigarette smoke lingers and annoys people who do not smoke. Fat people don't make your clothes stink. Cigarettes do. I don't have to point out the obvious here.

Just do us all a favor. Stop smoking and all of the problems will magically go away.

I quit smoking 8 years ago. I would never consider degrading someone who smokes today. I wish more people could quit but I understand how difficult it can be to quit.

Some overweight people do stink. Not all. Some overweight people perspire excessively and the sweat mixes with bacteria in the folds of fat and reeks. This is especially annoying on airplanes and restaurants.

I doubt simply taking a bath will magically make all of the problem go away.

I have seen some of those people who stink. Some people don't shower regularly. I don't know why. The same reason I ask why people pick products to ruin their car, just because they are cheaper up front or why people smoke is the same kind of questions I ask why people don't take showers. I don't get it.

I learn from other people's mistakes. I'm just wondering why other people don't. I've been trying to figure out what makes people think the way they do and so far I cannot get any answers. It's like those people who strap bombs on themselves in Iraq and walk into a public place and press a trigger button. What makes people do this? How can so many people all be born without common sense?
