You probably want to get in touch with your student loan servicer to make payment arrangements right away. Maybe allow a couple of weeks for the servicer to get your discharge so they will talk to you!

The last day for creditor objections on mine was today, so I hope to see my discharge this week. On your topic, though, I just got off the phone with Sallie Mae, trying to see what I'm supposed to do about my student loans, since as BKs we can't use the Web site, lol. The guy basically told me to do nothing; that I have to wait for a letter from Sallie Mae instructing me that it's time to start paying again, and that at that time my web site access will also be restored. I asked the guy if I could pay anyway, now, and he told me no! Someone refused my money?! This does not compute!! I would like to pay, considering interest has been accruing in the meantime, but apparently Sallie Mae will not allow this.Chapter 7 Filed: 12/22/08
