Account turned over to CA, didn't put on petition?

Ok i just realized we didn't list a collection agency on the petition.
We did list the original creditor. But i just found the letter from the CA stating that it was turned over to them(dated March 14th) we just filed friday. Is that a problem?

    No problem.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

I called and my attorney wants to charge me $20 to add the CA.

What if other creditors sell the accounts to a CA? How long do i have to add them? I sure don't want to pay $20 for all of them.

If you listed the OC you're fine. Don't bother giving your attorney another $20. BigBoy2U just wrote about this in the Collections threads but I can't find the post. Look around over there.

Ok i get home from work and had a message on the machine. From my lawyer saying its not necessary for us to add the CA to the petiton as long as the original creditor is on there. I'm glad i didn't send them the $20.
But i wonder how that works. Seeing the account is now in the CA's hands.
As long as i'm filing on the original account they cannot collect on it?
They will not get the letter but as long as i give them my case number all is good?

Again, that's right. The collector bought a bad debt from the original creditor hoping to collect on it in full. Too bad for them - they lose everything.

Thanks, its just makes me nervous that the CA who keeps callings us is not actually listed.
