Expenses.

Im filling out the expenses part of our BK Paperwork. I read for a family of 3 allowable expenses for food are 835$ for Arizona. Do you guys think the trustee is going to give us problems if we are over? We have a 5 month old and just with Diapers and wipes a month were looking at like 150$. His diapers are a bit more expensive because they have to be chlorine free. Thats not even including the solid foods were now buying and everything else he needs.

What other expenses did you all put down? Are all the expenses you put down recent expenses? Or can you just average it out? Like last month our OOP healthcare and RX was like 160$. Did you all just take like the 3 months and average it out? Sorry this is so long... We are also under the median.

I averaged things like car maint and medical so that's reasonable I think.

As for food allowances it depends on your district, the irs numbers are guidelines however your district could be used to seeing numbers higher or lower and something out of the ordinary is what might catch the trustees interest, this is something to ask a lawyer during your consultation.

on my expenses I was able to list diapers and formula under "other" (with a brief description of the expense). I spend 350-400 a month just on that. I had my 341 today and everything went fine as well.

Also my understanding is you average health care (Rx) costs as well as maintenance for your vehicle.

We put in extra amounts outside of food just for what we deemed to be "baby" needs. This included diapers, butt cream, and all those items the little ones need. Nobody had any issues with any of it.

I would put diapers etc under personal care.
