Had my 341 yesterday and now I am confused!

Ok..so the 341 meeting went great. Before the trustee started taking people, she made an annoucement of how things will work and the type of questions she would ask. She also talked about tax returns...and she said if we got our tax returns back before the 12th(the day I filed) then I get to keep that money. Now...
I got my state tax return back on 2/5 and I got my federal back on 2/10. Just from that I was thinking I would get to keep both my refunds. Then I looked at my bank account...since I got my taxes back I went to walmart and bought things me, my sister, and my nephew have been needing. ( I support my sister and her son BTW). He needed a toddler bed, we needed paint for the house, a vacuum, Curtains, clothes, shoes, groceries, dog food, a couple new toys for my 2 1/2 year old nephew, etc...this was done on the 12th...the same day I filed. Is this going to be a problem since the total was about $1600?

If the trustee said you get to keep any refund received b4 the date of filing, and you are positive that is what she said/meant, you should be fine.

You received it before you filed, if those were her perameters and you met them, you should be fine.

Yea, thats what she said. I even verified that with my lawyer as I was walking out. I am not so much questioning the refund, as the walmart thing on the date of filing. But I am expecting a call from my lawyer today...I will get it all cleared up then. Thanks!~

IF you have a pretty straightforward BK,, under median and not an enormous amount of debt and the Trustee didn't seem extremely interested in your case ( sounds like she didn't because you posted it went well) You will probably get your report of no asset/no distribution in a few days.

Then you just wait out the 60 days, and if no creditors or trustee objects, you are home free sistah!

Did you have a huge amount of debt or large income?

How will I get that report of no asset/no distribution? Is that mailed?
My debt was only about $30000...and my income is about $50000, but I do support my sister and nephew. She really didnt seem to interested in my case at all...
