    Beyond 6 months

Did some searching and couldn't find answer so I'll ask. I am an over median debtor so I know I will be scrutinized, so how far back can the trustee look for income. I know the law says 6 mos, but I received income for reimbursements of work expenses prior to deciding on filing. I only have one deposit of 900 showing on the first of 6 months for the income period review, no others (stopped asking for them). Could/does the trustee pull statements beyond 6 mos back, could they apply to hurt me (beyond 6 mos) and if I tell them I don't anticipate getting any more? Florida C7 filer.

    Thanks

My lawyer said reimbursements are just that...it's not income.

I agree, I don’t think you have a problem. ALWAYS tell your lawyer everything, He is paid by you to give you advice. In this case, it is hardly mentionable until you have your 341. Then IF ASKED this is truly a small amount. ‘Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

The Trustee can pull/ask for statements going back generally 2 years. However they usually don't ask for that.

In your case the Trustee would probably if he asked for it, ask you to specify what everything beyond XXX amount was used for or how it was acquired. Then if the 900 is past that amount you'd just write reimbursement of business expense next to it, then what's past that he can see if it was anything strange spent.

I doubt you'd have much trouble with this though.
