Is HOA dues taken in consideration when looking at the means test?

I would think they are included in utilities or home maintenance, but not sure. I would think they would consider them since the HOA can put a lien on your house for non-payment; it is a required payment.
I listed it as an expense when giving information to my attorney, but I am not sure if and/or where she included it on the means test.5/29/09 ~ filed chapter 7

Yes, they are included as a cost of maintaining the home... not too disimilar to taxes.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
