help with schedule I

We are a little confused at this point. We have been reading that you should put your average income on the schedule I. However, on www.uscourts.gov website they say that you can enter your average or projected income. My husband took a big pay cut from what he was making. We were wondering if anyone has any input on this. Should we put the 6 month average or the projected income.
