It's like people banging their head against the wall and enjoying the pain. I don't get it.

You mean amsoil won't help?? What if I wiped my car down with it, it should protect is against the salt, right? LOL I just had to!

Where people to choose to live, whether (sp?) it be in the North, South, East or West, is their decision. If they didn't, we wouldn't have hmmm Geography come back to me? 52 States in the US.
All of this is Irrelevant to Bankruptcy Chapter 7. I'm a gonna play Moderator here LOL! and say let's get back to the OP's original question.

I don't understand why people love to be masochists and inflict pain on themselves all the time.

Buddy:
You are pushing your luck! And you Dang Sure Don't Want This Southern Gal Getting On Your Back I Promise You That!
Sit back and think about another Subject you posted on earlier about receipts? Suffering???? Who was that? Think about it.
I've been very kind to you with your sometime 'Radical' posts, but when my Buttons get pushed, you won't like it. I'm a very Rational and Considerate Person, so once again DROP IT!

Although it's very hard to see this behavior in yourself, you are basically telling several other members in this thread and other threads that you know how to make their decisions better than they do, and why weren't they smart enough in the first place to make the right (i.e. your) decision?
This kind of well-meaning but unsolicited "advice" does not win friends in the long run, particularly in a virtual forum like this one where we see only your words - we can't hear your tone of voice and we can't see your facial expressions. It's your know-it-all attitude and inability to stop trying to make your point repeatedly after several members have clearly indicated they aren't interested or don't agree that is 'poking the bear'. That's where the anger you are now seeing in the later posts is coming from.
I encourage you to take this as a hopefully constructive suggestion to help make your forum time more pleasurable for you. Whether you decide to change your approaches offering your often-very-good advice to our other members in a way that easier for them to hear and act on is up to you.
I wish I could close this thread.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
