Ch 7 Question-help needed

How long after a short sale closes do you have to wait to file a Ch 7?

How long does it take an attorney to file once you've given him all necessary paperwork and payment?

I have a sticky situation where I'm trying to short sale my house and file bk very close together. hope that short sale will be approved by apr 1st and closing be around the 20th. need to file before May hits so i only have to show income through march. otherwise i won't be eligible due to means test.

If your filing bankruptcy why do you care about having a short sale? How will it benefit you to short sale your house instead of surrending in bankruptcy?

it's complicated. i explained the whole mess in a post under foreclosures. i know it's probably not the smartest things to do but i have to take a lot of factors into consideration considering what i do for a living
