Chapter 7 and Income Tax Refund

Hey all, Hearts here. Quick question. We just got our tax return on Friday. About 4K.. We closed our other checking accounts because we knew that hubby was filing and that they might freeze his account because he has some chase cards and a wamu cc. Anyway, once we pay the balance to the attorney for the bk7 and have to submit all of our returns, will the trustee ask for our return? I have been reading and am concerned that they can take it and then we won't have any money for when we have to get out our house because the foreclosure court date has been set. Hope this makes sense... Thanks

first of all they don't freeze your accounts. if you haven't filed yet cash the check pay the lawyer and ask the lawyer how much of it you can exempt
