Update: Filed, Yet the phone rings

FINALLY late in the afternoon on Friday the 13th my chp7 is filed...

So most of my creditors stopped calling as soon as I passed them my attorney's info.. I've become so accustomed to not answering the phone when odd number pop up so when this 800 number called Friday evening I did the same ole ignore thing I've been doing and though nothing of it.. The number has been continually calling several times a day up until yesterday... Got my post filing credit course stuff in the mail, and it clicked, "I shouldn't be getting calls anymore" So I called the number back, and surprise surprise it was Crapital One.. After they asked how I would like to pay I informed the poor habib that barely spoke english that I filed.. Gave him the case number, and attorney's name and numer.. This was about 3:30 pm.. 4:30 the phone rang and I was busy.. Looked at the ID later, and it was them.. They called again at 8:50 pm.. Missed that call since I was not home...

I'll let what happened yesterday slide.. Gonna let the attorney know what's up today.. If they call again at 8:05 am like they so enjoy, Should I answer? Do I say anything in particular to them??
$13,569 in CC debt majority in collections.. After a few surprises filed Friday Feb 13th....

Yeah, tell them they are violating the automatic stay and that every future occurance with cost them 1000.00.

Seriously though, things do fall through the cracks. And it does take their systems 24 hours or so to turn the auto dialer off. That should be the last of it.

How come Crapital One never calls me? And I owe them THOUSANDS!!!

You'd think some of these banks would use Google or Facebook or something to find people. Geez. They need to get with the program!

They could find me on Facebook easily and send me emails if they wanted to.

This is sort of what I expected... Called the lawyer this morn.. He let me know that Crappy 1 already contacted him bright and early this morn to verify what I told them.. No call so far... He felt that the letter he sent them outlining everything shoudl have been recieved by them at this point, but to quote him "The dips**ts at these companies don't know what the hell is going on half the time and probaby have it laying somewhere to be translated to Hindu"... I so like this attorney...

          Thanks again folks!

Seems there is no reason as to why one person get calls and another doesn't.

I owe Cap1 over $10,000.00 and they - and the others I owe - were very nice on the phone to me and made me some great offers to settle. After I started giving my Attorneys number, no one has called again.

Others on here get hammered - how do they pick who to pick on? - jb

Suntrust has a non-human auto dialer hounding me up to 4x per day. I am afraid to tell them that I am filing Ch. 7 because they will come and take my car. I need to stall them.

Capital One was the last to stop calling us and it took one week from filing date for them to stop calling.

For the most part everyone we spoke to was very nice aswell.. We had one issue with Wells Fargo but for the most part since we told them we had retained an attorney they left us alone and wished us good luck.

Right before Wells Fargo repo'd my sports car, they hounded me. I haven't had screaming matches with people in years. Those people take the cake. They have some of the rudest people I've ever spoken to. If I could have ever met the guy who called me in person, to put it lightly, let's just say some SERIOUS felonies would have been going on. I can't stand those people.

Just tell them you files and give them your case number and the drama will stop
