What is 722 Redemption? You know I got flooded with auto deals it seems like the day after I filed but I threw them away becuase we weren't "ready" now I think I should have kept them. I just don't think in this economy I can afford a 50/50 chance on a crap car. So stressed.....will it ever end?

I looked at a 722... actually more difficult to get they then a financed car at the dealer. For me it didn't make sense.

I am so proud right now, I have 6,000 bucks and I am writing a check for my car! Not sure which one yet, but I am giving the finger to any finance company! Screw em'!!! No, i will not pay 20% for a freaking car, I just filed BK, why the hell would I do this?

Where do you get free counseling because I certainly can't afford to pay for it. We're not even going to be able to buy food this month, let alone pay for counseling, my doctor visit or the $350 in prescriptions I badly need.

Ya my wife and I had some disagreements early on regarding the cash vs finance. I think she really understands that in order to stay away from the debt you must live within your means. I cannot tell you how great it feels to not have a CC payment, and to be able to choose my own path now. No finance company will be calling me for a car i OWN!!!!!

There are many counseling places who accept payment on a sliding scale. It sounds like you would most likely get free services from them. Contact your county mental health services people. They'll get you started.

You can also look into receiving assistance via the food stamp program to feed your family. Don't suffer. These programs were meant for situations like yours. Swallow your pride and ask for help.

I just called the redemption loan company. I don't qualify even for a redemption loan. They said if you have more than 1 repo on your credit report, they will not give you a loan. I have 2 repo's showing up right now. One from our previous SUV and another one from the year prior from a sports car I had.

So now the only way for me to have a car is by keeping the car I have now and pay twice what it's worth. The only good thing about it is that the engine runs perfect since I've been using that Amsoil since it was brand new. I get around 33 MPG with it. The only way we will be able to buy another car is to borrow money privately from somebody (no banks) and nobody I know has any money that they will loan me.

They also said if you finance a 2007 car, it's not allowed to have more than 60,000 miles on it. Mine has almost 70,000 right now. So that's 2 strikes against me.

I am SO SCREWED!!

No. I just picked a dealer's web site off the web at random so that people would know what it is. I should be a dealer for it since I've told so many people about it. I just don't know if there's any real money in it. I need something that will make me $1,000/wk. right from the get go. I would need to sell a TON of that oil to make that kind of money.

Sales is the only profession I know of where you can set your own salary! I love working as a salesperson but it can be quite stressful when the commission checks aren't flowing regularly.

I enjoy dealing with people. Sales is a contest. The customer is trying not to part with money and the salesperson is trying to get the money. To me that's fun!

Show me Honda's under 100k miles for under $1500 and RUNS without any major problems. That was the issue here at hand. I'm all for Honda, too, but I don't want to wait a year or two to save up $8000 to $15000 for the Honda I want.

The cars I listed were "throw-away" cars. If you can get them to last 8 to 12 month, then sell to the junk yard for parts.

ANY car built after 1999 from any maker should easily be able to last well beyond 200,000 miles if you take care of it. It's just some cars cost a fortune to maintain. Timing belts and struts are some of the most expensive items to replace. Sometimes you can get lucky by ignoring a timing belt change and then one day... WHAM! Your engine no longer runs. And if you have an interference engine, then you're looking at usually $1500 or more in repairs.

And if you have an automatic and you're not using the Amsoil as I told you guys before to use, then you should be getting transmission flushes every 30,000 miles for automatics. Automatic transmissions are a ticking time bomb if not properly serviced regularly.

Well I've put 20,000 miles on it in the first 7 months of ownership. I'm hoping to keep the car 8 years.
