Where can I locate the actual BK codes/laws for Nevada?

I'd like to investigate two points that our attorney had mentioned yesterday. They go against all of my internet research to date. I'm not having any luck locating the actual Nevada BK codes online. Our attorney was using a small thick book yesterday, looking up, or trying to look up, certain subjects I had asked about. This book must be the current "bible" for Nevada BK and would like to locate it online if possible.

    He stated:
    1) Unemployment was not exempt
    2) Nevada has a wild card exemption...1K per person.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks, Dave

A simple google search for Nevada Bankruptcy Exemptions will pull up multiple sites with them. But to answer your questions, unemployment income is never exempt in the Means test or I and J. Also, Nevad is one of 14 states that allows Federal Exemptions to be used, in Nevada it can be used as a supplement to State Exemptions.

    Good Luck

You probably have been to this link already:

And I am sure you have already examined the official bankruptcy site for Nevada here:

U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Nevada website for CM/ECF Filing, Training and bankruptcy and filing information.

Looks like you can spend time on this part of the BK site for Nevada searching opinions for your district:

      Filed CH 7 9/30/2008
      Discharged Jan 5, 2009! Closed Jan 18, 2009

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..

Thanks! I'll check out those sites and see if I've already been there. Wish I could get my hands on that book....
Interesting that you noted that NV will allow a combination of state AND federal exemptions....I had not come accros that before. As far as UI I was thinking more on the lines of the debit account created for me by the UI organization and if any funds sitting there would be exempt on the day of filing.
