Today is day 80 after my first meeting of creditors. I had not heard anything and I took the advice of all the wonderful people on this forum.
I called the BK clerk and emphatically apologized for bothering her. I continued my apologetic ways and asked her what was happening. She said I should have been discharged already. I heard her fingers typing away and after about a 20 second pause, she said "YOU ARE.NOW DISCHARGED.". She said I should get the discharge letter Tuesday. She also said I should be closed in about two weeks.
I went on PACER a short while later and yes, I am now DISCHARGED!!!! I even printed out my discharge letter. I can't wait until Tuesday
Even though the trustee filed her no asset report months ago and I haven't heard a peep from her since,. I am still worrying about getting a letter from her saying she wants my tax refund If that happens, so be it, at least I have a fresh start!!!
I can't thank all of the wonderful people on this forum. All of you have made this adventure easier and just knowing I had unconditional support helped me get through this.
For those of you just starting to embark on this adventure, keep your head up and use this forum frequently to get through the emotional roller coaster. You WILL PREVAIL!!
