How far do they look back?

How far does BK look back at your reciepts if they do at all? How long should I keep them for? What types should I get? (gas, food, 7-11, clothes) Do I have to keep everything or just ones over a certain amount?

I didn't have to show any receipts. I had to show bank statements for the last 6 months prior to filing, and tax returns for 2 years.

Receipts are only used if you have an item of interest to the Trustee. Like high child care expenses or high home improvement expenses just before filing.

What if I only use the bank to pay bills and and only deposit enough for that stuff into the bank? I would have lots of cash to spend on things like the dentist and the doctor but wouldn't they want reciepts for it all so they kow where its going?
