My credit union hasn't bothered to file a Motion for Relief from Stay yet. I guess they aren't in any hurry to come take their SUV. Problem is, when I got my other car, the insurance on the SUV was only good for 30 days after the adddition of the replacement car. Insurance on the SUV is gone as of Monday. I just talked to them to see if they'd come get it, or if there's a place I can take it to over the weekend. They said I have 2 options: Wait for them to get it after I'm discharged, or bring it to a branch office during business hours.
I live in an apartment, no garages. I really don't think it's a great idea to leave an uninsured car sitting around in my possession for 2 more months. So, I'm driving it to a branch first thing Monday morning. The branch is about 3 miles away, but it won't be insured during that 3-mile drive. I'm nervous about it, but I figure it's a small risk to just be done with this whole thing. I can always claim ignorance -- say that I thought the insurance was good thru that 30th day, not ended on the 30th day.
Anyway, wish me luck. I also hope that once I get there, I don't face a huge attitude from the branch manager.
