before i file... rapid refund ral

So what happens if I file taxes in Feb and do a rapid refund loan and then file bk in March?

I know its best to efile and a rip off to do rapid but I have a deadline to pay past due property taxes and have no other way to pay. I am up against a tax sale.

Will this get in the way of bk filing since it is applying for credit? Help please.

****will my refund count as income on my means test?

Under the circumstances you have stated, I think anyone would understand. Remember those rapid refunds are a big interest ripoff. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

If you e-file with direct deposit it's really fast... I filed late on Jan 28th and my refund is supposed to be deposited tomorrow, Feb 6th, according to the IRS website.

Thanks everyone I'll just keep receipts to show if they question it.

Wait*- does that count as income on means test?

I was told by my attorney to not do a RAL as it counts as a loan. My attorney said it would be discharged and then taken by the trustee. And on top of all that who ever issued you the RAL could come back and sue for it to be non dischargeable and you would have to pay them back. I dont know if this is only specific to my State ( AZ ) or not. You could only do it to my understanding if you waited 90 days in between.Your situation is much different then mine, Just what i was told hope it helps.

Are you sure this doesn't count as income on the median income test? I know you got a fatty check recently, I am so jealous! You didn't have to count it? But with the luck I am having this year, I will probably have to pay the IRS. I'm calling my lawyer!!!

Well I really don't know what else to do. I might just have to take the risk. I'm pretty sure my wildcard would cover making it exempt. Don't know if that makes a differnce to the trustee

No Hopechange, I didn't mean Trixie was wrong, I was just asking. I hope she is right, I would love to get my income tax return and pay my property taxes. I hope I didn't create any confusion, I was just wondering too. sorry

I live in PA and my attorney said it counts as income on the means test and it has to be listed as income on schedule I.

So we are not sure? It would really screw me if it did. Maybe I get in for a free consult ASAP. I'm going to do a little internet research too.
