They may want the stuff back. what kind of deal would you work out. If you send them money then file you wasted the money. If you have a $1000.00 how much does the lawyer want. pay your attorney fees and get filed. Don't let them get to you it will stop as soon as you file.

You can retain an attorney without paying them their full fee up front you know. After you find one you like, see what their initial retaining fee is, and pay them that. Then you can direct all of your creditors to him or her, and they will deal with them.

Most lawyers will let you pay for their services over time. It took me from six months to pay the $1200 fee my lawyer charged, and it was worth every penny!

That's CHUMP CHANGE! Us being married and having to do the means test, we have to pay a whopping $3400!!! It's taking me forever to pay the lawyer. We don't even have food and I have $78 in my checking for the next 12 days! And that money is going F-A-S-T!!! Being paid once per month SUCKS!!! Plus I have business expenses that come almost daily and have no more credit cards to use or buy food on. I AM SUNK!!!

I am pretty lucky I guess! My lawyer did tell me that he had lowered his bankruptcy rates because of how sucky the economy was. He's a really nice guy, and everyone on his staff is great. The first lawyer I went to was a jerk, so I moved on, and really like who I ended up using.

I guess $78 is better than $77 I hope things get better for you, and soon. I suggest Top Ramen!!
