    How long

    does it take?
My lawyer filed that petition and said it was due to the paperwork not being in the correct order. He filed the petition with his own money or something like that.
    The PACER says:

Disposition : Discharge Withheld for Failure to Submit Cert of Instructional Course for Personal Financial Mgmt
    Nature of debt: consumer
Pending Status: Awaiting Discharge ,Case Closed
    Flags: CLOSED, NODISCH
    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Will they reopen it? I am still VERY confused...
    FILED June 30, 2008
    DISCHARGED March 5, 2009
    CLOSED March 20, 2009

If you have proof that you took the financial management course and can prove the date you took it (before the deadline), you shouldn't have any problems getting the case re-opened so that you can get your discharge. I would attempt to call the Trustee directly and give him the paperwork yourself.

If everything else has been done and the only thing they need is proof of the course, you can do that yourself. Don't give up. Make some calls. Don't wait for your atty to do it if he's dragging his feet.
