    Oops - got a 1099-G

I'm guessing it was for unemployment I received from the previous state I lived in. Received the unemployment in early Jan 07'. Got a job that month too so stopped the benefit. This 1099 is from my current state....I'll have to call them tomorrow to confirm this is about the unemployment from my previous state. I cannot think what else it may be from.

So my question is - completely forgot about this and I'm assuming I'll owe taxes on it. Will the trustee re-open my case due to forgetting to add this on my petition? It's only $479.00.

Anyone have any experience with this or words of wisdom?

    thanks!

    Isn't a 1099-G a report of gambling winnings?

      1099-g

Did you get a state tax refund in that amount? 1099-G is for government payments, so maybe it is the unemployment.

        I think W2 G is for gambling.

          Sweet Dana

No one is going to re-open your case for a 479 dollar error . Pay the tax and sleep tight.
