If you read (search) the forum for bank statements you will see a wide variety of answers.
I had to supply 2 yrs because I was above median income substantially and I was filing alone, without my husband. The US Trustee visited my 341 too
Others here only had to provide 6 months. It depends upon what is common for your district. Be prepared to supply a min of 6 months ....ask your attorney for details regarding your specific trustee and your filing.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..

Are you saying I will also need to provide my March '09 bank statement which won't be available till April? Is that how they verify cash in bank at time of filing? I was just going to get a printout on the day I filed.
Technically, anything you make in February even if you haven't received compensation yet should be counted as income. Also, the amount of cash in your bank account on the date that you file is subject to scrutiny. You should include in your exemptions the amount of anticipated cash on THE DAY THAT YOU FILE just to be safe.
If you really are a simple 7 with little assets and everything is on the up and up, you are probably worrying over every little thing, like I did, like we all do, for nothing. And I wouldn't worry about any petty cash that you have been withdrawing from your account, whether they ask for statements or not. It's a rare bird that saves receipts for groceries or gas and they know this.
