Does anyone know of a law regarding 3 additional days extention of shutting off ones gas in home? I just got off phone with my Semco Energy, gas company here in Mich. I am 2 months behind which is not good I know. I need an extra 3 days extention to get the money together because I owe $583.03. I explained my financial situation, and that I had a child in the home and she said that there is a law that states they can't extend the shutoff date! I was dumbfounded and now I am frantically trying to borrow money from family so we have heat, oh by the way it is in the teens here not 70 degrees!
