Student Loans & Cosigner

Hi,

I have my mother cosigned my student loans that cannot be discharched. I know I have to report that in the bk documents. What will happen to my part of the student loans after bankruptcy?

Will my mother owe it all, or will I as the main debtor still pay regular payments?

Student loans are not dischargeable so you will have to continue paying on them, I do know that at least Sallie Mae doesn't require payments during the bankruptcy process until dischargement, check with your student loan processor. Nothing will change in terms of who owes the debt.
