How would you value my stuff???

37 inch flat screen tv bought in dec 2007- paid $800 on cc

computer bought 2007-paid $300.00 at Walmart (nothing fancy) on cc
monitor 22 inch flat screen bought early 2008 (nice) on cc

Leather sectional bought $3,000 Rooms 2 Go cc thru GEMB in 2006. (still owe 1,000)

Dining room table and hutch $1200 bought Rooms 2 go CC thru GEMB in 2006 (still owe 800)

DH's guitar and keyboard bought several years ago (don't know how much)

Riding lawn mower bought 2007 Home Dept cc paid $1700.00

Grill bought Home Depot cc paid $700.00

Everything else I have is just normal everyday stuff. I read in other threads to use garage sale prices but I read somewhere else that you must now use second hand retail store prices? Can anyone help?

I want to try to do this as honestly as I can and still protect myself and keep my stuff.

    Garage sale prices are fine.
Used furniture has almost no value.
Did you see what FloridaGuy's appraiser did for the computer and printer ($50) and ($8) respectively. That is the type of values you use. He posted that in another thread.

Florida Guy, what do you think the appraiser would put on my items listed?

Thanks everyone for your advice! I am a nervous wreck!

The best thing to do is go to craigslist for your area, check out the local classifieds, etc. and even ebay. This are pretty accurate. I spent a lot of time, printed pages out, etc. when I was price searching to be able to back up my pricing. In the end, it didn't matter in my case... But may be helpful. But it is time consuming!

Yes it is time-consuming. Some things you can lump together, such as a three-piece bedroom suite. Your pots and pans will be "assorted cookware". Those types of things. Then go around to the junk dealers in your area and get prices for similar items.

One of our members posted a similar thread. This might give you some help--as well as a good laugh at one part.:
