One more ? about amendments - must I serve new creditors or does court do it for $26?

Filing no asset chapter 7 pro se in CA.

In the NOLO book, for added creditors in amendments, the instructions say I should serve any added creditors, but doesn't the court do this for the $26? Would the purpose of me (also) serving my previously forgotten creditors be so they get them in time to attend the 341 if they want to? Or is it just standard procedure that I serve them?

Was I supposed to serve them when I originally filed? I knew the court was going to be sending notice to them, so I just called them and gave them the case number. (Most of them stopped right away. Only Cap One waited for the court's mailing.)

If I am really supposed to serve them, should I do it before I take the amendments to the courthouse and file the proofs of service with the amendments?

Thanks for helping me with these last minute doubts and questions.

I called the court today to ask this question and no one there knew the answer. I've got some conflicting information. Should I be:

    (a) sending the new creditors the notice of the bankruptcy
    (b) sending the new creditors a complete set of petition papers, with amendments incorporated in
    (c) sending the new creditors just the complete amendment packet
    (d) sending the new creditors just the amended pages which apply to them

    (e) sending previously notified creditors complete sets of amenments
    (f) sending previously notified creditors just amended pages which apply to them

and/or in what combination of above.

If there is anybody who can help, I would be very grateful.
