    Cash advances from LOC?

I have seen many posts regarding the cash advances from credit cards that are going to be discharged and can understand why that would be a problem. What about cash advance from our HELOC which we will continue to pay? We are keeping our house. Will this be a problem anyway?

We have never had cash advances from our credit cards.

I had zero intention of filing even the first of December and in order to pay credit card minimum payments had to transfer money from our HELOC to pay them. Around January 1, I saw we really had no other alternatives.

Please don't pay credit cards with a mortgage note. CC are dischargable and you are throwing your wealth to the wind and possibly your home. If you are going bk, save the money for necessities and the lawyer. 'Hub

You are robbing Peter to pay Paul using your HELOC and if you continue to do that, Peter eventually becomes broke, using it to probably prevent you from filing if you are actually able and eligible to file for bankruptcy. If you are going to file, all you are doing is running up higher debt on your HELOC to make minimum payments on your other bills. Stop doing this now if it is for non-emergency items and it's time to get a bankruptcy consultation because things are just going to get worse - the robbing Peter to pay Paul scenario is your warning sign.
