creditor phone calls

how soon do the creditors start calling? if you are current on everything and file for ch 7 will you not get all the calls?

If you are current, they have no need to call, if you file, they can't call or they will be in violation of the stay.

We were completely current on all of our bills when we had our first visit with the attorney. We filed within 2 weeks and only (1) bill had become 10 days late by the filing date. We received only 1 call. I answered the phone, told them that I had filed, gave them my attorney's name and number and we never received another call again.

wow I am definitly going to plan for that i remember my husbands xwife her creditors call every 10 minutes!! my work his work you couldnt hide and it wasnt even our debt! that makes me feel better as i have a 4 yr old and 8yr old who like to answer the phone!
